Methyl Bromide is most widely used fumigant for quarantine purpose. it is a preferred fumigant for most of the quarantine authorities around the world, because of its good penetrating ability ,rapid action ,high toxicity to a broad spectrum of insects and pests
Methyl bromide is frequently used for fumigation timber, agriculture products, empty containers, food stuffs, and other agriculture produce. When fumigation is carried out with methyl bromide fumigant, there will not be any residual issues as aeration can be carried out easily.it is very effective in controlling in insects at all stage; from egg to the adult stage.
As per International Plant Protection conversion Methyl bromide is an approved fumigant which can be used for treating export cargo containing wooden packing materials. Fumigant only control existing infestations in the cargo they do not provide any residual protection against subsequent re-infestation. Consequently timber treated by fumigation must be packed in container or shipped within 21days of treatment. During this 21 day period it should be stored safely or cross infestation may occur. After completion of Methyl Bromide Fumigation when agri products are taken for repacking care should be taken to maintain the repacking area pest free and good hygienic pratices should be followed in order to avoid cross infestation between fumigated and non-fumigated cargo.
ALUMINIUM PHOSPHIDE
is used as a fumigant. Aluminium Phosphide is used as a fumigant
to protect stored grain from insects and rodents. In the
presence of moisture, it releases phosphine, which is highly
toxic.
Aluminium Phosphide Fumigant:
Effective pest control solution Aluminium Phosphide is a highly
effective fumigant used in the agriculture and storage
industries to control a wide range of pests, including rodents,
insects and other unwanted organisms in stored grain warehouses
and shipping containers. Known for its ability to release
phosphine gas, Aluminium Phosphide targets pests at all stages
of their life cycle, ensuring a comprehensive and long-lasting
solution.
Key Features:
Fast Acting:
Aluminium phosphide releases phosphine gas, which penetrates
stored goods and eliminates pests swiftly and effectively.
Versatile:
It’s suitable for use in a variety of environments, including
warehouses, silos, shipping, containers and agricultural field.
Safe application:
when used correctly, Aluminium phosphide is a safe and reliable
fumigant for pest control. Always follow recommended safety
guidelines and precautions.
Environmentally Friendly:
phosphine gas dissipates quickly, leaving no harmful residues on
the treated products.
Safety Precautions:
As Aluminium Phosphide releases a toxic gas, proper ventilation
and protective equipment are critical during its application.
Always ensure that treated areas are properly ventilated before
re-entry.
The most popular cargo transport choice in the world Is ocean going containers. Containers are usually gas tight and forms an excellent enclosure for the Fumigation operations. The volume of the containers are definite and as such it becomes easier for administering the correct dosages while carrying out fumigations. Fumigation services over 14 years has now fumigated over containers to various destinations all over the world. Over the years of experience we have designed and developed fumigation methods with state of the art fumigation systems to ensure better quality results.
Fumigation Services are experts in carrying out vessel fumigation using methyl bromide or Aluminium phosphide. Our technical team are experts in carrying out vessel fumigations and have fumigated many vessel carrying rice, wheat, maize, wooden logs and other bulk agro commidities. We are equipped with state of art fumigation equipments that are specially designed for carrying out vessel fumigations and we are suitably gas circulating equipments. Our team will be able to carry out fumigation of vessels in outer anchorage operations and also in the Wharf.
Scheduled treatments and pest preventive measures are essential part of managing infrastructure. Every year there is more than lost in just rodent based damage alone. To maintain hygienic production process and manage critical control points, a scheduled pest management system should be implemented. We provides pest management services to mills, food processing units, food packing units, wood packing units, leisure and entertainment venues and office buildings. We provides treatments for vectors, insects, crawler pest, Quarantine pest, Beetle, Rodent wood borers and termites through various treatments such as fogging, surface spraying.
IN order to control exotic pests the International Plant Protection convention which is a representation of 140 countries around the world have formulated and approved two types of treatments for timber packing which will effectively control the pests that are present in the wooden packing material .one is Methyl bromide fumigation with MB marking. Another is Heat Treatment with HT marking
Fumigation treatment should be carried out for packing materials such as wood crates, skids and other packing materials .plants material such as straw, rice hulls and similar plant material used as packing material can carry exotic insect pest and diseases. The wooden crates have to be treated prior to shipment by carrying out fumigation with methyl bromide. The maximum thickness of the packing wood must not exceed 200 mm
Fumigation of wooden packing material should be carried out with methyl bromide at the dosage of 48 grams per meter cube. In this process the wooden packing crates are placed inside the fumigation covers which is kept on a smooth flooring and it is covered with gas tight sheets to make it an air tight enclosure. The gas monitoring lines for measuring gas concentration during the exposure period is placed at different positions for efficient gas monitoring. The fumigation covers are sealed with sand snakes and an air tight enclosure is made. The total cubic area of thr enclosure is measured and the required dosage of methyl bromide is administered . gas monitoring is carried out during the exposure period. After the exposure period of 24 hours the fumigation covers are removed and the empty wooden crates are aerated then ISPM 15 making is legibly marked on the wooden packing material. The ideal wood for packing of export cargo would be kiln dried pine wood.
Godown Fumigation is an important pest control method in which AGRI-Commodities are fumigated with toxic gases in a controlled setting to eradicate various insect infestations. The space will be sealed off for the safety of the public and surrounding area, and the gas will be held at a set concentration for a period of time until the pest species is dealt with. A wide range of goods requires fumigation treatments, such as raw food ingredients and consumer goods that may be stored in the godown either long or short term. Typically, the process of successfully fumigating a godown can take between one to five day, depending on dosage of chemical used and suspected infestations. Our highly trained Fumigation team will carefully seal off the area before releasing the fumigation gases into the godown. Phosphine can be used to treat pests such as stored product insects in most bulk food produce. It is an incredibly safe and effective gas and will not leave any pesticide residue in the space or products. The Godown will then be left for a set amount of time for the pests at all stages of their life cycle to be eradicated. During this time gas levels are monitored at various points around the site to ensure all areas have an equal level of gas distribution Once the process is complete, our team will safely release the gas from the space and perform tests to confirm the air is now safe to breathe in and around the godown. The client will then be issued a Fumigation Clearance Certificate to verify that the procedure is complete and the space is safe.
